STONE AGE WARE
(EVE ROACH)

Eve Roach, known artistically as Stone Age Ware, is a potter based in Lowestoft who creates earthy, hand-thrown pottery inspired by her upbringing in the Suffolk countryside. Growing up surrounded by nature and animals, Eve developed a strong connection to the natural world, which is reflected in her work. She began her artistic journey with hobbies like making handmade greeting cards and sewing, but it was a pottery workshop in 2016, a gift from her father, that ignited her passion for ceramics. Eve is a self-taught artist who has honed her skills and developed her own unique style over the years. Her work primarily involves using earthenware and stoneware clay, which she throws on a wheel and meticulously hand-turns, adding to each pieces own unique character, before firing. Nature serves as her main source of inspiration, and her creations are characterized by their earthy, handmade quality. Her Proudest achievements in her career are having her pieces being sold on the high street, and the responses she has received by the public when seeing her work exhibited at various art fairs and festivals across the UK. Eve continues to grow as an artist, focusing on improving her craft and teaching workshops, which she believes offer therapeutic value and encourage others to pursue creative endeavours. Through her work, she hopes to bring a touch of nature and handmade beauty into people's homes, contributing positively to the community.
